Gas Expected At $3.00 A Gallon By Summer

As you head to the gas pumps this weekend you may notice the price of a gallon of gas has risen drastically just in the past couple of weeks. A report from AAA came out on Friday saying the national average for a gallon of gas has kept steady at $2.81 for a week straight. But that price has jumped 21 cents within the last two months--not to mention that price is 13 cents higher than last year at this time. By summer energy analysts say the price may reach three dollars a gallon.
Drivers we talked with are worried about the price hike. Eumeka Suggs says, "It's really expensive. Like um, earlier this week it was just $2.50 something and today it's almost three dollars. It's ridiculous." According to AAA Carolinas--the average price for a gallon of gas around Greenville is $2.85. That's five cents above the national average.

Much is made of the benefits of modular design and construction but not often associated with the large scale of power plants.
Holiday travelers aren't getting any relief at the pumps this Memorial Day weekend. As a matter of fact, they will find gas prices higher when they return home. According to AAA, the average gallon of regular unleaded jumped two cents overnight to $3.93. That's up more than 35 cents from a month ago.
The national average price for regular gasoline rose about 15 cents in the last two weeks, according to a survey.
The average price of a gallon of gasoline in Washington continues to climb to new record highs.
Malaysia's national oil firm Petronas on Monday said it had signed a deal with oil giants Royal Dutch/Shell and ConocoPhillips to explore and produce offshore natural gas from Sabah state.
